The Program in Cancer Outcomes Research Training (PCORT) is a National Cancer Institute-funded training program. PCORT is a two year, curriculum based interdisciplinary research fellowship program that involves faculty from across the entire Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center and affiliated institutions. The goal of the program is to train pre- and post-doctoral fellows to become leaders in cancer outcomes research. In addition to mentored research experiences, fellows participate in a training curriculum that includes the Harvard School of Public Health/Brigham and Women’s Hospital Program in Clinical Effectiveness, enrollment in a masters degree program at the Harvard School of Public Health, and a tailored, weekly seminar series of didactic and research-in-progress presentations. Many additional courses throughout Harvard University are available to fellows on an auditor basis.

 

The 2 year fellowship is open to MDs, PhDs, and doctoral candidates who have completed all coursework for their degree. A stipend, tuition support, research, travel and computer expenses are all provided by the program.
