Research Assistant

The MGH Institute for Technology Assessment seeks a research assistant to join a group of researchers trained in decision science, statistics, epidemiology, economics, and medicine. Projects requiring research support include simulation modeling of cancer and collection of patient data. Will help develop models, conduct analyses and literature searches, and prepare manuscripts. Projects range from small support projects to long-term primary projects with increasingly more responsibility. Candidate expected to communicate with research staff and patients (e.g., survey administration) in a professional manner and carefully document analyses and results. Creative thinking, a willingness to learn new software, and an ability to handle multiple projects are expected. Excellent opportunity for the academically oriented.

Experience should include a BS or master’s in a health-related or quantitative field; some research experience; knowledge of spreadsheet, word-processing, statistical and/or database management software.
