Kathryn Lowry, MD
|Radiology Research Fellow|
|Resident in Radiology, Harvard Medical School|
Dr. Lowry received a BS from Duke University and an MD from Harvard Medical School. She is currently in her fourth year of residency in the Department of Radiology at MGH. Her primary research interest is the use of simulation modeling and decision analytic methods to evaluate the impact of breast cancer screening strategies on breast cancer outcomes in both the general population and in high risk groups. She is a trainee affiliate member of the Breast Working Group of the National Cancer Institute’s Cancer Intervention and Surveillance Modeling Network (CISNET). She is currently funded by a Resident Research Grant from the Radiological Society of North America for work using simulation modeling to evaluate imaging surveillance strategies in women with a personal history of breast cancer. She will be starting a clinical fellowship in the MGH Breast Imaging Division in July 2016.
