Ms. Dowling serves as the program manager for the Institute for Technology Assessment where she coordinates grants, funding, and reporting for the ITA. She is also the Administrative Director for the Program in Cancer Outcomes Training (PCORT), a National Cancer Institute funded research fellowship program across the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center that trains fellows to become leaders in cancer outcomes research. She additionally collaborates with ITA researchers on scientific projects on understanding the role of imaging technology in clinical care, trends in breast, colon, and lung cancer incidence and mortality, breast cancer screening and esophageal cancer. Ms. Dowling previously worked at the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health as a public health advisor where she managed large research consortia including the Breast Cancer Surveillance Consortium, the Cancer Family Registries, the National Collaborative on Childhood Obesity Research, along with other research projects. She additionally managed grant actions for the Applied Research Program within the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences. Ms. Dowling received a MHS from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with concentrations in women’s reproductive health and child health. She received a BA from the University of Virginia in biology and bioethics.
